Ms. Vanessa Barnett is Senior Vice President, Global Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance at FactSet. In this role, she is responsible for FactSet's overall ESG content strategy, working closely with Product Strategy teams across the enterprise to meet the evolving and complex client demand for industry-leading ESG solutions. Prior to this role, she spent eleven years at Dow Jones & Company where she was the head of product strategy for the global Dow Jones Newswires product line. Ms. Barnett earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Mr. Hendrik Bartel is SVP, ESG Strategy at FactSet. Prior to joining FactSet, Hendrik founded Truvalue Labs, a leader in the ESG data space. Truvalue Labs’ mission was to put emerging technology to work solving big problems that have a major impact on the world. Bartel has over 15 years of experience leading global product initiatives and previously led product development initiatives at companies including Amazon, Autodesk and Cisco in addition to his work at early and late-stage startups. He has an MBA from St. Mary’s College and a B.S. in Geomatics and Civil Engineering from Fachhochschule Hannover. Hendrik is an industry thought leader and go-to expert, and regularly participates as a speaker at industry events including the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) International conference and the German Stock Exchange Sustainability Conference. Hendrik presents on how investors can leverage the power of technology to uncover new insights found in unstructured data. He also presents on AI, Big Data and the future of ESG research, among other topics. Hendrik was recognized as one of the 10 people around the world who have had a breakthrough impact on corporate governance according to the publication Proxy Watch. (Global Proxy Watch Stars 2019)
